Dracula Blows His Cool torture glamour photoshoot

Stan (Gianni Garko) is using his medieval family estate for his latest glamour photo shoot with a spicy Gothic torture theme.  This gives him and his business partner the idea to turn a portion of the castle into a swinging night club, The Dungeon Disco, and except for a little push back from the head master of the local religious school things go off without a hitch, that is until two of Stan's ancestors in the cellar wake up to see what all the noise is about!

Betty Verges as Countess Olivia in Dracula Blows His Cool

Dracula Blows His Cool is a campy romp that provides it's share of eye candy from German actress and model Bea Fiedler and relative unknowns Betty Vergès and Linda Grondier.  The story is a mixture of tongue and cheek comedy with a balance of stereotypical vampire film tropes thrown in for mild suspense.  This balance combined with the steady flow of female eye candy, and the beautiful Austrian backdrop, ultimately help keep up the pace of the film and stimulate most viewers (at least the male ones).

Count Stanislaus in Dracula Blows His Cool

To get to the heart of the matter Dracula Blows His Cool is not a horrible film, it's simply not a memorable one either.  If you're looking for something to blow some time it checks a few boxes and delivers an average performance.  The most memorable parts of the film for me were Betty Vergès as the smokin' hot Countess Olivia, and the shower scene with Linda Grondier and Count Stanislaus lurking behind the curtain followed by their encounter directly after.  These were good aspects of the film's ability to mix camp with some classic horror / thriller tropes, not to mention Linda Grondier is smokin' hot as well.

6/10
